Alta Vista Garbage Collection Garbage totes (available in 3 sizes by contacting City Hall) must be placed in the right of way (the area between the street and sidewalk) for pickup. Any additional garbage that is in excess of the tote must be placed in a Jendro Sanitation bag., for purchase at City Hall or The Corner. Any additional questions or comments will be addressed by contacting City Hall at 641-364-2975.
Individuals and businesses may also haul their own garbage, tires, appliances, televisions, and electronic waste to the Floyd-Mitchell Chickasaw Landfill located southeast of New Haven, or west of Elma. Recycling Curbside collection of recyclables is on the FIRST and THIRD Mondays of each month. Please have recycling bins curbside by 7 am to ensure pickup. Jendro’s number is 800-232-3525.

Glass Jars & Bottles Separate
- not mixed with other recyclables
