Fredericksburg Garbage Collection The city provides weekly curbside collection. Garbage is picked up every Tuesday. Garbage bags will not be picked up unless the garbage is in the yellow bags marked Fredericksburg Waste Collection (15 and 35 gallon bags are available). Bags may be purchased at City Hall and other locations. For additional information, contact City Hall at 237-5725. The city also provides dumpsters for construction and demolition waste for residents’ use. For further information, contact the City Hall at 237-5725.
Individuals and businesses may also haul their own garbage, tires, appliances, televisions, and electronic waste to the Floyd-Mitchell Chickasaw Landfill located southeast of New Haven, or west of Elma.
Recycling The city's curbside collection is every other Thursday.
Items accepted include: Paper Cardboard Newspaper (Flatten boxes) Magazines Junk Mail (including envelopes) Plastic Mixed Paper (i.e. computer, office) #1 through #5, #7 Phone Books (No oil containers) Paper Bags (No plastic bags or lids) Paperback Books Metal Glass Jars and Bottles only * Tin cans Clear, Brown, and Green Aluminum Empty Aerosol Cans Pots and Pans
*NOTE: Glass must be separate from other recyclables.
