Riceville Garbage Collection The city's weekly curbside collection is on Monday. Garbage bags may be purchased at City Hall and other locations. The city also provides dumpsters for construction and demolition waste for residents’ use. For further information, contact the City Clerk at 985-2367.
Individuals and businesses may also haul their own garbage, tires, appliances, televisions, and electronic waste to the Floyd-Mitchell Chickasaw Landfill located southeast of New Haven, or west of Elma.
Recycling The city provides weekly curbside collection on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Items accepted include:
Plastic Paper #1 through #5, #7 Newspaper (No plastic bags or lids) Newspaper Slicks (No oil containers) Junk Mail Magazines Metal Mixed Office Paper Tin Cans Computer Paper Paperback Books Glass Jars & Bottles only Fax Paper Clear only Telephone Books Feed Sacks (No plastic lining) Cardboard (Flatten boxes)
