St. Ansgar Garbage Collection The city has a contract with Jendro Sanitation to provide weekly curbside collection for residential customers on Friday. Each bag requires a large or small sticker for removal. For sticker purchase locations or further information, contact the City Clerk at 713-4921 or Jendro Sanitation at 1-800-232-3525.
Individuals and businesses may also haul their own garbage, tires, appliances, televisions, and electronic waste to the Floyd-Mitchell Chickasaw Landfill located southeast of New Haven.
Recycling Weekly curbside collection of recyclables is on Friday.
Items accepted include:
Paper* Metal Newspaper Tin Cans Junk Mail Empty Aerosol Cans Magazines Mixed Office Paper Computer Paper Glass Jars & Bottles only Paperback Books Clear, Brown, and Green Phone Books Hardcover Books Kraft Paper Bags Plastic #1 through #5, #7 Cardboard (No plastic bags or lids) (Flatten boxes) (No oil containers)
*NOTE:
All paper products must be in
bottom of bin or brown paper bag. All recycle materials may be mixed in a common container except for glass. A large garbage can with R written around the side in magic marker and with a cover is recommended for the common container. Glass needs to go in a separate container. All glass, plastic and cans must be clean.
